Dear Parents/Carers

We are keen to ensure everybody that the safety of our staff and children is our main priority during this difficult time so we will continue to follow the DFE, our local authority & Govt  advise on staying safe. Further guidance can be found by visiting http://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.

At Hopscotch we  are undergoing a cleaning program during the day as well as our usual end of day cleaning routine as advised by our contract cleaners, we have a filtration system to purify the air in our Baby room and all other rooms are operating an open window policy to ensure as much fresh air as possible throughout the classrooms.

Hand washing was already an important part of our daily routine & now more than ever this is key to keeping the virus at bay and so through songs and various activities we have made the hand washing  a major part of our daily curriculum.

All classrooms & site entranceways are equipped with wipes, hand sanitizers and sprays to keep surfaces clean, all soft toys that are difficult to clean have been removed from the classroom, along with anything else we feel is a high risk.

All our staff have undergone additional training from NDNA to raise awareness of hand washing in the setting & supporting children’s emotional wellbeing during this period.

We have limited access to our site to appointment only visits. Only visit site if you are fit and well. All children in our care are now dropped off /collected via our garden gate safely into the hands of our staff in a socially distanced way. Additional markings have been placed around the building to ensure  that everyone is aware of the distances required.

Any visits that do take place on site (show round/viewings) need to be done so in a secure way and we ask that if you are coming on site you wear a suitable face covering and sanitize your hands at the point of entry & only visit the site if you are fir and well.

Any parent of a child that becomes unwell please refer to current Govt guidelines page above.

If a child becomes unwell while with us, presenting any of the Covid 19 symptoms, we will isolate the child along with a member of our staff and will contact the parent and ask them to collect the child as soon as possible. The parent then needs to follow the Govt guidelines as instructed.
